【Abstract】Objective To analyze the related information of COVID-19 released in county-level government Wechat account named “Release of LvShunKou” from January 1st,2020 to December 31st, 2021, and to provide practice and suggestions for improving health communication. Methods To collect and filter relevant released articles of COVID-19, 1267 in total; and data of interaction and user groups. WeChat communication index (WCI) and multi-way ANVOA were adopted. Results WCI is 747 in 2020 and 681 in 2021; 80% of the WCI peak value coincided with the outbreak of the epidemic and the rebound time of the epidemic in Dalian; The position (P =. 005) and theme (P =. 001) of the article have significant impacts on the communication effect; However, adding short videos does not bring an ideal role in increasing attention and improving communication effect. In addition, because of the aging population in county-level towns, above-the-line publicity to the elderly group is low. Conclusion Based on the accuracy of information, county-level government Wechat accounts should rational use the headline position to solidly promote in rural area, combine online and offline publicity to adapt to aging, and the publicity content should be grounded to connect people's feelings, so as to enhance the communication influences in public health emergencies.
